@pingyi1984:  What type of dress are you looking to buy online?  A pre-owned gown?  A sample gown?  A replica gown?

Lots of bees have experience doing this, just let us know what you’re exactly looking for online!

I bought mine off of etsy and I love my dress and It is great quality! Just make sure to read reviews on where ever you buy the dress!

My only suggestion would be to actually try on the same dress if you can, or the same silhouettes so you don’t have any surprises when your dress comes. I know that the silhouette I thought would look the best on me ended up making me look like an oompa loompa.

I agree with MsPanda.. check the reviews and be critical. Are the good reviews all on very basic dresses (ie no embellishments, simple design), are they written in the same style of English or within minutes of each other, etc.

I purchased three dresses online because of time restraints and the worry that if I only ordered one I’d get a dud, and then be stuck buying an expensive one in a store. In total it cost me AUD $420 all up for all three, and i’m hoping i can sell one or two to get even more money back.

I got two dresses from DHgate based on the individual shop reviews and they both were made really well.. The second (which I won’t include a picture of just in case… sorry, paranoia!), might be the one. Very well-made! Only flaws were they made it with a zipper back instead of the corset back in the picture (I didn’t think to specify), and it was still a little long, but I’m hoping to have that altered.

I ordered the third from Dino Direct which didn’t seem to have legit reviews, and that one turned out terrrrrrible. Yellow stain on the front, cut through the lace train, top of the dress sewn so the inner layer stuck out, dirty. But from a distance it looked really good.. perhaps a tailor/dry cleaner could fix it? The second dress was my favourite so I won’t bother to find out.

Here’s a couple of the first dress. It needs a press/to just hang so the tulle sits right. Unfortunately only took pics straight out of the postal package!

If you want more info on the websites or pictures, check my blog post here (shameless plug) 😀 Sorry for the essay!
