My soon to be hubby and I are getting married on the sand about 10 miles from our recpetion site. Should we give our guest Ordeves at the beach or should we wait till they get to the reception site?
We also thought of having the cake at the ceremony site and some fruit and still having the orderves and then dinner.
or Should we just cut the orderves out and have the cake after ceremony (the reason save money and my soon to be hubby likes dessert before dinner) pluss the dinner comes with dessert but we could cut that out and give the cake instead. awww soo consfused

I would keep all food at the reception site, away from the sand! You never know, you might get a windy day and then all the food would be covered in sand and crunchy.

I would suggest that you wait to serve food until the guests are at the reception, including the hors d’oeuvres.
If you want to serve anything at the ceremony, I suggest you limit yourself to bottled water or iced tea if it is hot.
You can ask them to serve the cake as dessert, and eliminate other desserts to save costs or you can ask them to serve a fresh fruit salad with the cake.

I wouldn’t serve the food until the reception.

I don’t think any hor d’oeurves are needed until they reach the reception site. Some bottled water would be nice though.
