    It actually kind of depends on who is your organist or pianist. The right person can make either instrument sound AMAZING, but the wrong person can, well…


    (and FTR, I’m an organist, and honestly I don’t see anything particularly special or large about the picture of the organ you posted. I think that out of churches that have an organ, I would guess that 90% of churches have a bigger one than that. I’m just saying that b/c while I’m all for the organ and think it’s the best instrument for processing down the aisle, don’t use “this church has a big beautiful organ” as your  reason for doing so, since it doesnt appear to me to be anything big or special.)

    I love the way organs sound, especially with heavy pedal, but I don’t like the way the processional sounds on the organ at all. It’s too dark.
