Let me preface this by saying that I don’t like chiffon. Don’t get me wrong, I love wearing chiffon. I don’t like how it looks as a group or in photos…it looks a little flat to me, and since my dress is silk, it has more of sheen to it.
I want a similar sheen in the bridesmaid dresses without being “shiny”, and I am not making the girls buy silk. That said, I want your opinions on the standard material to choose for the bridesmaid dresses. Dresses will be knee-length and in mocha or milk chocolate brown (medium brown). They won’t be as dark as chocolate or espresso brown (dark brown).
Organza: Pros – a little bit more flowy than the other fabrics; Cons – can be a little too shimmery.
Satin: Pros – very common fabric for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses; Cons – very common fabric for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. (Lol.)
Taffeta: Pros – looks stunning in photos; Cons – stiff and crinkley and uncomfortable.
DOES ANYONE HAVE PHOTOS OF MEDIUM BROWN DRESSES IN REAL LIFE OR POSING WITH THE BRIDE??? I’ve done a google search and see lots of stock/model photos. Hard to find real people in real lighting conditions! Thanks!
