1000 cranes / (4 months away * 30 days in a month) = approximately 9 cranes a day

I did 1000 cranes with my friends in grade school for our project on the bombings in Japan that left so many people sick. 10 of us each made 100 cranes and it took us three days after school. After the first 20 or so, you are a pro! Also a tip– you can buy really nice and quite cheap oragami paper in China Towns. On top of that, don’t unfold the crane and shape it until the day of– they are much easier to store flat.

Good luck and have fun!

I’m trying to get all my cranes done at least 2 months before my wedding. So I’m at 15 a day YIKES!

Me and my fiance have worked out a system though and depending on the work day I can sneek a few more in here and there.

Good luck!
