No way! As long as you are not using Christmas Colors and do it in a fun summery way I think it would look awesome. Maybe put some fake grass as a filler or little flowers to make it less Christmas looking! It sounds really pretty!! I say go for it!

When my sister got married, they filled clear glass ornaments with sand and added tiny shells.They got engaged on the beach in Wildwood, NJ.
