@embanes21:  When I started birth control my breasts were tender and they definitely stopped being tender after awhile. I’m not sure if they went back down to the same size though. I did notice that when I went back to Yaz after being on ortho tricyclen Lo my breasts were tender again during the first pill back. I think if they do grow/get smaller its not enough to really notice. I haven’t bought a different size bra in years if that helps but I do think I’m a fuller B than I used to be.

Sorry not to be much help.

@embanes21:  I didn’t wanna say it in my original post but since someone else has switched from ortho tricyclen too I will go ahead and say that my issue was that the triphasic pills didn’t agree with me. If you are still sore and tender in 3 months, call your doctor and ask if there’s something else for you. (It takes your body 3 months to get used to BCP). My issue wasn’t the soreness but headaches I’d get from the different amount of hormones each week.

I guess the point of this post is to monitor your side effects closely so you know when they started. It took me a long time to realize it was the BCP b/c I didn’t track them well enough.

I used to get migraines.  🙁 But I think mine were hormonal to begin with.

I’ve been on it for years. I went up a cup size (which was fine with me!) – my breasts were tender from that at first, but it went away. I have always had bloating along with PMS, though, and so they’re a bit tender during that, but not too bad. What you’re dealing with, while you’re experiencing a little increase in boobage, should go away soon. Not a bad idea to mention it to your doctor, though – even though it’s totally normal, s/he’ll want a record of it.

its usually temporary swelling kind of deal. Unless you literally started eating more due to hormonal changes, and actually gained weigh it would be more permanent. But certain times of the month they can definitely blow up and get sore! Also when going off pills for good, some woman notice a deflation…lol

Well, i’ve not gone off it, so I don’t know about deflation, which sounds like something we certainly don’t want! It seems to me, though, that since most off the time when you go off the pill it’s to have a baby, which brings its own breast increase, the deflation would be temporary.

For me the PMS bloating is something I’ve had since high school, so it’s not related to the pill. I hate it 🙁

When I was on Ortho TriCyclen Lo my breasts were swollen and tender every month during the week before my period and would go back to normal shortly afterwards.
