it really depends on the fabric/make of the dress. can you post a pic? I tried on some Oscar’s so I might be able to tell you the price.

off the bat, definitely $5K+

If I remember correctly I think those will be closer to $5K, but you may as well go to the store and look.

Oscar also does a number of trunk shows so keep your eye out for them. I know he has them at Saks and Mark Ingram. I just checked Mark Ingram’s website and there isn’t one listed currently but it never huts to call and ask. 10% off a 5K+ dress certainly helps!

I think Bergdorf’s carries him as well, Kleinfelds does not.

Oooh, tis a hard thing to fall in love with an Oscar de la Renta. I tried one on (at the behest of my bridesmaids) that was $14,000! However, even if your dream dress is in that range I still have some hope to provide – if there is a Saks near you, almost all of their bridal salons are going out of business. As a consequence, they are selling off their samples! They keep their dresses in pristine condition and are offering huge discounts right now. So go in and check, if at all possible.

also, i don’t know where you are, but I was told that this particular dress (not sure about the first one) will not be part of the saks sample sale (since they’re closing all the bridal salons).  It will most likely be shipped to the Beverly Hills or NYC saks to be sold or showcased there.  The one i tried on at South Coast Plaza in CA will be sent to the Beverly Hills salon.

Oh shoot iyam, I really had my fingers crossed for the OP. I was in the Saks in San Francisco yesterday to try on my dress and they had some of their de la Rentas out the floor, but I didn’t think to ask if they were part of the sale.

I saw some de la Rentas at the Filene’s Basement Running of the Brides! It’s a long shot but you could go there and see if you can find one.
