Is it a church wedding..what faith?

Readings would be good. My SIL got married & had just her sister as Maid/Matron of Honor and then my sister & I did readings, that was perfect.

If there are communion gifts she could bring those up, reading petitions or maybe read a special poem that you select (or she selects and you okay)

I’m Catholic, our ceremony will be religous..and no worries, you’re not ignorant, I think petitions are a Catholic thing (it’s someone reading “petitions” for worldly, local, family ,etc such as “we pray for our nation’s leaders that they may make good choices as ….” and the response is Lord Hear our Prayer or another might be, we pray for the departed and those that could not be here to celebrate Katy and Phil’s special day especially her mother Karen.) I’m not sure if that makes sense…but it sounds like your wedding won’t have it.

So readings would be good and a poem maybe?
