Okay, I hate shaving for a number of reasons. So, I decided to Veet my legs. The first time I did it was two weeks ago and it worked great. It has taken this long for the hair to grow back in, so I decided I’d do it again today. I was rubbing the lotion on my legs when all of the sudden, my fingers started stinging so bad I had to throw the Veet bottle in the floor. I immediately went and washed my hands. Then, the sting got really bad in one particular finger. Now, my index and middle finger of my left hand are stinging so bad. It feels like I’ve poured alcohol on a cut. However, there are NO cuts on my fingers. I’m not sure what is going on but this is soo weird and it hurts very badly. Anybody else experience this with hair removal cream?

I tried it once on the bikini area…BAD IDEA! It seems to dissolve your skin or something.

I tried I think it was Nair when I was a teenager, and it did the same thing, but to my legs! I guess its whatever chemical used to dissolve the hair, but I will never try it again!

I have pretty sensitive skin, and I tried Veet on my legs once, it left burn marks all over my legs. I agree with @Fegele: , it totally eats your skin away…

Ouch!! Maybe you have little cracks in your skin? I stay away from chemical hair removers like that… but if it’s working well for you then use gloves next time! For right now – continue to rinse your fingers and then put something like aloe vera lotion on.

I use this kind, because it doesn’t require rubbing in. It is more expensive though, and I don’t really feel like it works that great. I usually use it from hip to knee (legs only, not bikini) and shave below the knee. The hair on my upper legs is fine/blonde, but thick enough to be a bother. It doesn’t shave well, but it veets great!
