Everything I’ve heard about them has been from the beginning of an episode of “A Haunting” so I probably wouldn’t touch one with a 30ft pole!

I’ve never touched one, and I left a party where someone brought one out.  Superstitious maybe, but I don’t want to be anywhere near it!

Incidentally, Darling Husband feels the same, so none for us!

Yes I have.  I used one once by myself.  I’ll never touch one again.

Go read the post “haunted house or haunted things”. I JUST posted my own experience and I”m not the only one that did. Don’t even get near those things. They are not a joke!

I’ve tried one. It didn’t work–probably because none of us really expected it to.

Haven’t used one since around sixth grade, and I’m convinced that my best friend at the time moved the planchette. Plenty of people take ouija boards very seriously and won’t go near them. Personally, I love the way they look and I’m not superstitious.

I’ve played with these since I was a kid and had freaky things happen everytime.

I bought one a few years ago and I was so determined to use it… it sits on my shelf now.  I’m scared of it!

I don’t touch them, and if I had children I wouldn’t allow them to touch them either. I did use them when I was a kid and I have no doubt that they are real.

Personally and from a religious perspective I do not believe that anything good comes from these – I am not one to mess with the occult, and that’s what it is.

@GroovyHippieChick:   I’ve never touched one but several of my friends have told me horror stories about what happend to them when they did.

Can you elaborate on what happened to you?

I’ve used one once when I was about 12, and the damn thing moved and answered! I’ve since always told myself that my friend moved it, though I didn’t really believe that at the time. I’m afraid to go near one again.

We used to use them at sleepovers when we were kids. Nothing ever happened
