- Wedding: October 2014
We got married on 10.11.14 at the Prallsville Mill in Stockton, NJ, along the Delaware Canal. It poured all morning long but luckily cleared up just in time for our first look and all our photos! Unfortunately, the ground was soaked, so we had to put plan B for our outdoor ceremony into place (under the tent). It wasn’t the vision I originally had for our ceremony, but it all came together beautifully. With the overcast weather, everything had a very romantic feel.
This truly was a labor of love with lots of DIY and time antique shopping. We used my Dad’s oil lamp collection for our centerpieces, paired with amber glass bottles I collected throughout our engagement. I ordered all of the flowers online and did the arrangements myself the day before (that’s a story for another post). I made my brooch bouquet, the bouts, and the Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets. I did all of the chalkboard signs myself and many many other things! We found an old mantle that was used for our ceremony backdrop and topped it with old books from DH’s grandfather’s attic and a photo of our pup!
I tried really hard to cut back on the photos- but clearly that didn’t go so well. Still so many more beautiful photos from our ceremony and reception! All photos thanks to Chris Hayes Photography.
