I’m still waiting for my high resolution cd to come in, but in the mean time I thought I would share some of the low-res proofs! Enjoy!
(after resizing them they got really grainy – sorry bees!!!)
My dress, DIY barefoot sandals, reception sandals (that I never put on), and bracelet (from charming charlies)
Earrings given to me by my husband, the necklace was from my mom (she used the diamond from the engagement ring my father gave her 35 years ago)
My beautiful bouquet was a gift from my SIL
Since we had to fire the MUA, my mom & I did my makeup, I think it turned out great and it lasted all day!
Hanging out with the girls in our robes, and of course the “show off your ring” picture
My mom helping me put on my jewelry
Having a few drinks & getting lotioned haha
The boys getting ready
A few finishing touches and a little pondering out of the window…. (the photographers asked him to gaze out of the window and think about the day, and this is what he did, haha)
And my groom was ready to go! Gosh he’s so handsome!!!
We decided to write each other letters to read before our first look, it was definitely a great way to set the tone for the day.
Me, reading his letter, trying not to cry, and my girls casually watching… notice the cryers in the corner?
The girls were complimenting me on the fact that I didn’t cry, and then I noticed my mom & SIL boo-hooing in the corner!
His turn…. he laughed, he cried, his groomsmen got a good laugh, looking at these pictures warms my heart <3
We were anti first looks early on the planning, but in the months leading up to the wedding decided it would be good for our nerves and I am so glad we did
Yup, he got tears in his eyes looking at me!
We got some great shots afterwards, it was so calming to see him for a little bit.
With first looks out of the way, it was time for the big moment!
I got caught peeking out of the window…
My dad waiting for me at the end of the boardwalk
We did it!
With the nerve racking stuff out of the way, it was time to let loose and get some pictures with family & friends (I’ll spare you all of the family photos)
The “laugh like your on a magazine cover” photo
The boys were up to their usual jackassery… I got zero photos of them being serious, but I like that it worked out that way because they are always goofing off.
After they picked him up, of course I had to be picked up… then the girls wanted to try and hold up the groom
After that it was the girls turn… I look like a giant compared to them!
These are our “do something fun” individual shots… guess we arent much better than the boys! haha
With all of the portaits out of the way, it was time for some first dances
We danced to “Wake Up” by Coheed & Cambria
My Dad & I… then I made my little sister join in half way through
My Brother & I, and my husband with his mom
My husband with his grandmother – so sweet!
I started off the reception with a princess waive and some toasts
We passed out some kisses, and received some kisses
Signing our DIY thumbprint guest book, and using my DIY wine glass markers
I am so proud of how everything turned out… I was a little worried since we DIY’d freakin everything, but it looked great and was exactly what I had envisioned.
I purchased the seahorses from Micheals, repainted them and added the modge-podged seashells
We did all of the flowers, everything from the arbor arrangements to the pinterest inspired hanging arrangements…. even the arbor was built by my husband & his father!
We purchased all of the linens & draping fabric, the only thing we rented was tables & chairs
I love how our memorial photo for his little sister turned out, my mom supplied the seaglass and my husband & I attached it all with grout to a piece of wood. We also made the card box & chalk board from scratch and my husband hand painted the thumbprint guestbook onto canvas!! We are one crafty couple haha
The ever popular and unpredictable sky lanterns, even though they didn’t really cooperate we had a blast lighting them
Lastly I leave you with some of my favorite portraits of my new husband & I
On the beach
The crazy beautiful sunset!
Being almost washed away by the waves
Whispering in each others ears, haha he’s such a weirdo
Blowing & catching kisses
Under the arbor he made with his dad, and on the boardwalk
And finally… a concept he is still trying to grasp!
We had soooo many photos, it was hard to narrow it down to just these!
