Finally went through everything and got a total for how much we spent. We paid for about 75% of it. Some numbers are estimates or rounded because, even though I tried to keep all the receipts, I lost some.
We DIY’d pretty much everything. Our mothers were the caterers, DH’s pro photographer sister gifted us with pictures, our officiant provided the ceremony space and his services as a gift and we did our own music with my laptop. I did several “projects” as well.
Hope this is interesting to someone!
Thank you’s & postage: 21.56

Champagne Flutes, vases, bowls, more flowers, corsage/boutonniere pins (kind souls on craigslist)

Are the pictures of the finish product? If so, its a little plain for my taste but its nice.

I absolutely love the lights on the ceiling, they’re gorgeous! And I think you did a great job with the budget!

@Tanya5484: Yeah that’s the finished product. If you can’t tell, the tables have bowls sitting on top of gathered white tulle with a giant flower floating in them and pink, orange and brown different sized diamond confetti scattered around. We weren’t supposed to do anything with the walls. The pictures kind of suck and dont show detail…but they are only guest pictures. And yeah, I think for what we spent on the wedding it looks pretty good.

@mandb122: Thank you! 🙂 The lights were there already, it’s kind of why we got the place 😛

i love it! i wantr a similar almost plain jane wedding. why spend the money on HUGE decorations that cost an arm and a leg for only 6 hours??? that guests probably wont even remember!! ITS GORGEOUS. Congrats

@MapleMoose: my reaction too! I’m trying to wrap my head around how that is possible! Hubby and I can spend that on a nice dinner easy just the two of us!
Please elaborate on the food and cake cost.

@MapleMoose: haha. We did a chicken-noodle soup thing (but it wasn’t really soupy at all, so I’m not sure what to call it) with a couple sides and cheesecake. We invited 150 people and didn’t get all the RSVP’s, so we prepared enough for that many. This is where having moms who are good cooks pays off!
