We had our engagement session last week and got a handful of photos back today- I’m SO excited about them!! The photographer we used for our shoot is also our wedding photographer and I love her and can’t wait to see the shots she gets on our big day!! My Fiance made all of the arrows himself and the story behind them is that he use to ask me how much I loved him and in response I always said, “Arrows”- as in, infinite arrows that point out and go on forever.

Gorgeous!! If you don’t mind my asking, how did you decide which outfits to wear? I’m struggling with that.

@MrsPeachMartini: So this was FAR from easy. We knew we wanted something with color because we kept seeing super neutral shoots and nothing “popped”. So I went shopping and just bought what I liked and then had him match me. The button down shirt he wore with my blue and white shirt was a fluke thing that just worked out- neither of us connected the blue and while stripes on the cuff of that shirt until that day. I knew I wanted him in nice dark jeans and he liked the idea of wearing a blazer. I looked for clothes to coordinate for forever and walked into Banana and saw that blazer and knew it was what I wanted and his top was from J.Crew. I love that we’re not too matchy, we’re very much dressed as we normally do for both casual and dressy, and these are clothes we’ll definitely wear again (in fact, we already have!).
Some people say not to worry too much about the clothes, but I disagree. We’re using these for out Save the Date’s that my Fiancee will be designing and I didn’t want it to look thrown together last minute, and besides, that’s not us. I spent 2 months shopping. Ridiculous, I know.
I love that you all love them!!!

And one last thing, I was concerned about my skin tone and considered tanning for just a bit of color. I’m now glad that I didn’t- the more I looked at engagement photos and even celebrity photos at events, I realized they’re all natural and fair. And besides, I don’t want to look back at my engagement or wedding photos in 20 years and think, “I’m orange!”
