I totally agree, I feel for those children as they get older.
Its like… “you will have an unusual name and YOU WILL LIKE IT NO MATTER WHAT
!”. I wonder if they’ll be able to choose what they eat or what they wear either? I just can’t imagine giving my kid a name even when such a huge majority of people seem to dislike it. I know the Bee isn’t representative of the country/world as a whole, but still….use some common sense. I guess the only way some people are able to stand out is to be really different…even if it’s at the expense of their child/children, which is so unfair. Even the celebs are doing it now…Apple, anyone?
I actually don’t mind Ryddik, but the no nickname thing really baffles me. You can’t control what other people call your kid after a certain age and when they get into the school system or sports. If you really hate the nicknames, don’t use the name in the first place.

Exactally, thats like giving someone the name William & honestly believing that he will not be called Will or Bill (or Liam). Get real.
I kindof disagree though, with people on the bee from 18 to 50something, from US to Malta & Europe..we’ve got a wiiiide variety of people/opinions/cultures on here. The majority voted- Elektra is a stripper, sorry.
