I agree- Sorry it took me 6 days to reply!!

This is actually my favorite board, even though it isn’t very “active.” ๐Ÿ™‚

Someone told me getting married in January is a beautiful way to start the year. ๐Ÿ˜›

@Mrs.Vowrenewal: That’s a good idea! Everyone keeps telling me, no matter how much you plan and take care of things ahead of time…there is always SO much to do in the last few weeks!!

Sigh. I know there aren’t many of us here (yet!) and I try to check back, but I don’t often have the free time to do more than glance at this site. We are in the process of moving to a new state and new apartment, along with new furniture, jobs, and everything that goes with it, so the wedding itself is pretty far from my mind. Our “engage-aversary” is this month(!), and most of the plans have been finished for quite a while. Also, I’m sort of in the industry, so talking about wedding things in general gets very old very quickly.

Ugh, I sound like such a downer! We’re really excited to get married and BE married, and I talk about the plans with our families fairly frequently with much enthusiasm. I suppose you could say that in my daily life I’m surrounded by amateurs in the process, and my patience wears thin. At least you ladies have done your research and educated yourselves!

Okay, something to be excited and nervous about: my gown should be here this month or next! I haven’t seen it since early fall, and like many brides-to-be, I’m hoping it’s still perfect. Yikes I need to choose my shoes!

@BostonBaby: Hello! Good luck with moving! I know moving is one of the most stressful things ever, so you must be pretty drained.

In what part of the wedding industry are you involved, if you don’t mind my asking?

That’s awesome your dress will be back soon! I recently had a panic attack wondering if I would still love the dress as much as I did when I first saw it…I remind myself of the moment I saw it hanging in the closet and how I squealed in excitement! That makes me feel better.

Just try to remember that feeling you had when you felt it was “THE dress.” !!!
