Just got our sneak peeks back from our photographer from our brunch wedding about a month ago- we had such a great day! The forecast called for storms- and hail- all day but we lucked out that it only rained while everyone was eating and there was even sunshine by the end of the day. Just had to share a few pictures, but if anyone is thinking of having a brunch wedding- do it! We’re not big dancers and we loved the pace of the day. We were able to take time to enjoy the company of our friends and family during the day and we still had the rest of the night to ourselves. We wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Gorgeous!! You looked so beautiful, and what a lovely setting! I love hearing your review, because we’re (my daughter and her fiance) planning a brunch wedding for next September, and we’re so excited! I think we’ll love it for the exact reasons you shared. Congratulations and best wishes!

Beautiful! I am a bee in waiting, and want a brunch wedding! What was your menu?
Thank you Bees!!!
ohiobee: For our menu we had cocktail hour with danishes, mini cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit with passed mimosas. For the reception we had an omelet station, french toast station (this was my favorite with fresh berries and whipped cream!), normal breakfast sides- potatoes, sausage and bacon-, for the lunch items we had a salad with goat cheese, strawberries and pecans, mini sliders and mini crab cake sandwiches. There was sooo much food and from what I heard it was a good mix. I think coming up with the lunch items was the hardest. We did just beer and wine for our bar and I didn’t think in the middle of the day people would drink much but they surprised me lol. For dessert we had a cake for us to cut and a mix of cupcakes.
I think you should definitely consider a brunch wedding- I think one of my favorite parts of the day was after it was over we still had the rest of the night to spend with each other.

absolutely gorgeous! Did you have music? I want a brunch wedding but i’m afraid people will be bored

sorry mrsbee2be: I just saw this response, I don’t know if you’re still thinking of a brunch wedding or not but to answer your question, we had music but not really dance music. We’re not big dancers at all and it wasn’t something we wanted to feel we had to do on our wedding day, so my hubby put together the playlist of more low key songs and his uncle, whose a DJ, just played the music off his iPod. We had planned on having bocci and cornhole for guests to play because there was a huge lawn in front of our venue but because of weather we didn’t get to set that up. Everyone we talked to afterwards actually enjoyed not having loud music or dancing because they were able to catch up with friends or family they don’t see often. We also had a polariod camera for guests to take pictures with and put in the guest book so that give people something to do too. I might be biased because I had an awesome day but from what i saw no one was bored.

faljg2: Congrats and thanks for sharing the photos. You look beautiful!
I’m planning an outdoor brunch wedding in California and would like to know what your timeline was like.
Here are some questions/ concerns:
Did you have to wake up super early?
Did you have enough time to set up the place before the ceremony and did it feel rushed?
I’m also not a fan of the whole dancing thing so we’re planning on skipping that. How did you close your wedding and let your guests know that it was time to leave?
