We were married on Saturday, and when we got back from our mini-moon, I found 250 photos from my semi-pro aunt waiting for us (pro pics and post-wedding photo shoot pics to come)!
Our low-budget, mostly family (small!) wedding was perfectly suited to our personalities and taste.
Cutting our little cake:
Our dinner space:
Dinner (SO MANY leftovers):
And one last happy picture:
We headed off to Galveston the next morning (after a GREAT afterparty of which I have no photos), totally blissed out. Yeah, 20 (!!) people called in sick, and yeah, I forgot my bouquet completely, but we had our most beloved family and friends hanging out with us in some of our favorite places for a few wonderful days. I couldn’t be happier.

Congratulations! Beautiful pictures – I love how unique your wedding was. Ours was small and in a garden, too, and we loved it! 🙂

Very awesome. Your dress is so pretty and natural looking to me. I never thought of a dress as “sincere,” but yours is!

@nawella: We didn’t think we could go small, either. Then, we just DID. It was the best decision we could have made.
We had around 40 people, and we got to hang out with ALL of them at the wedding dinner, afterparty (well, except his elderly grandma) and the welcome dinner the night before. I don’t feel like I missed out on a good conversation with even one of my guests, which was especially great because about 25 of 40 were from out of town!
There was a lot of this going on:

Thanks, everyone! It’s surprising how it doesn’t show that it was almost 100 degrees (aside from my falling hair!). Hottest day of the year so far!

That is beautiful. I practice buddhism also and I’m super curious about your vows since I’m in the process of putting together our ceremony now. Did you write your own vows/marriage address/etc. or did you find them on the net? 🙂
