- Wedding: November 2010
We are having a November 6 wedding with navy, gray and pops of apple green as our colors. We didn’t really think flowers were for us, so we decided to make our own centerpieces. This was my inspiration picture (thanks to the bee who made these and gave me the idea!)
I bought the green straw balls that she used from Save on Crafts and went at it with the help of my mom and sisters.
(Those tiles the centerpieces are on are our favors- we made a set of coasters for each guest and the little circle has our monogram and wedding dates.)
We used 5 of the green balls, stuck some floral foam on top of the vase and hid it with navy ribbon. Then stuck in plain branches and branches with some little green balls on them into the foam. Then just covered the foam that was showing with some moss.
I think they turned out really well!
We are having long 12 person tables so this will be in the middle and these will be on each side.
This is a rough draft but it’s pretty much what it will look like. We’ll use larger floating candles. We will probably do some tables with just floating candles and some with these.
These were pretty inexpensive too which is what I wanted! I don’t have exact numbers, but I’d say each one was less than $5, but that’s only because I got the vases for $.50 each at a floral shop that was going out of business.
