So I know I’ve been MIA around here for a long time, but it’s mainly because I’ve been busy busy working on so much wedding stuff!
I was finally able to knock out our DIY invites and I can’t wait to show them off. Here they are:
What our guests will see when they are opened
Everything was handmade. The front of the invtation was all hand stamped and the silver stitching was also done by hand. I broke down and made an investment on a new printer (Epson Artisian and I’m in love) to print everything out. I was even able to emboss the inside of the invites with my new investment 🙂

@Ms. Meowerson: I know! It’s a destination for us and we are so excited because it is amazing out there. FH even asks to get Kill Devil Hills engraved on everything!
@pixelmepretty: The little saying on the front FH picked out. I’m thinking about getting it engraved on his wedding band.
@bakerella: I wanted to do raised/embossed lettering on my invites but still wanted to print them myself. My old HP was just a headache to deal with so I did some research and read that the Epson Artisian (purchased 710) is like the best photo and crafting printer around…you can even use it to make coloring books from photos. First shot out PERFECT embossing! So happy!!
All I did for settings was used a photo setting and changed the paper type to presentation. The paper I used was textured and had a sheen to it so it was wet just long enough to get the powder on. The matte cardstock dried too fast so I wasn’t able to emboss the enclosures as well. I also used the printer to printer our envelopes with ease. Best wedding investment IMO 🙂 Hope that helps
