Awe!!! How awesome that is that you opened your home to this sweet animal!! What everyone is saying is so true- time will make a difference. I have been apart of rescuing, re-homing, fostering, and Animal welfare for years. Don’t feel like the lone ranger. Two summers ago I was blessed to have rescued a 140lb half Dane/ half Neo Mastiff female. She was the sister to my beloved Mo that I lost to bone cancer 5 mos before. She was picked up by animal control and a local rescue group pulled her- I was on the contact list as giant breed foster “mom”. When they contacted me about fostering her, I had no idea at the time she was my dog’s sister. When I saw her I fell head over heels in love with her, but let’s just say the feeling wasn’t mutual. She  went thru anxiety issues of chewing and tearing things up, she tried several times to “run away”, and she was bullying my other dogs. But I didn’t give up. Fast forward to now and she’s my shadow. She’s my bullmastiff’s best friend- in fact they sleep together. She has turned into the best dog. She’s gentle and passive enough that she plays with my 10lb schnauzer and even my fiancé’s small dog. Your good “deed” will be rewarded with mounds of puppy love!! Hang in there!!

@StephieBee:  How’s it going now? I remember reading your post and feeling sad because I knew I would feel the same as you did. Hope things are even better now 🙂

Food usually doesn’t hurt. Try figuring out what his favorite yummy treat is. I used to volunteer with an animal rescue group and some dogs just need more time than others. Especially because Corgis are so smart. Just keep being patient.
