Reading everything on here was so helpful with the planning process and I wanted to share our pro pics that we recently got back! We had such a fun day and everything went so well all day. Honestly, my hair was one of the most frustrating parts of the planning process. due to my hair stylist going rogue ~2 months out and cutting BANGS that the wedding hair stylist had to suddenly had to work around, I wasn’t really happy with how my hair turned out (it wasn’t very “me” and I wasn’t planning to wear it down), but ultimately i just didn’t even care! i got hot after the ceremony and threw it up it a ponytail (not the best look, i know) and danced the night away! thanks to everyone on here for all the help!
I was obsessed with my shoes
and I loved all of our flowers
Our local favors: “Grits and gratitude” bags and mini bottles of Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka
we had a Gullah gospel choir to perform our ceremony music and guests LOVED them
I love all of the smiling faces in this picture and the fact that I can tell that I’m telling myself “please don’t fall!”
We danced the night away to the most amazing band and at one point, a prop from the photo booth ended up on the dance floor. these make me laugh
See? i totally loved the band–and, clearly, the signature cocktail, lol. Thanks for indulging me – it’s been so fun reliving the day through our pictures!

missbuckeye16: thank you so much for your sweet words! the shoes were the Aliah sandals by Oscar de la Renta. They were quite the contraption – this pic makes me laugh bc in my head I captioned it “how many women does it take to get one pair of shoes on a bride?” lol
and yes, our photographer is worth her weight in gold!! she sent us over 1000 pictures and each one is better than the next. Like i read so many times on this site, a good photographer is well worth splurging on!

Thank you all so much! Your kind words have made my day! I loved our wedding no matter what, but it’s so nice to hear that others liked the elements I put so much work and thought into, as well!
MelissainNC: that is a huge compliment. that’s exactly what we were trying to do.
tc83: absolutely! the top, skirt, and belt are all from Carol Hannah. Her stuff is AMAZING. I could not stop touching and twirling in my dress 🙂
