We picked up Darwin today! The poor baby cried for half the car journey but then settled down after we turned up the AC and set some gentle music. Fell asleep he did!
At home, he seems to have taken to me as the ‘alpha dog’ hahaha. He is adorable, beautiful eyes, and very intelligent, he already knows how to sit! And he kind of knows his name haha. We try and use it with him whenever we can.
He is a beautiful yellow lab, from working stock. His breeder said he was the best looking puppy they’ve ever had and if he were a girl, she would have kept him!

OMG I WANT TO KEEP HIM!!!
I remember when we got our first dog (I was 11 or something I think) he managed to get up the stairs, but could NOT figure out how to get back down! So he would climb the stairs and then sit at the top and cry!!!!

Thank you all very much! He is a bit of a handful at the moment, what with the toilet training and whatnot (bless his heart he’s had two accidents since being at home, but that was because we weren’t observant enough when he was signalling). He’s going to grow up to become such a handsome dog!
He is fast asleep right now, and isn’t even whining or anything! And he lives up to his namesake, he’s definitely the intrepid clever little explorer!

@OrchidsandCandles: My boyfriend and I have a dog named Darwin too!! He looks quite a bit different than your baby though, haha. Our Darwin’s “dog mom” is my mom’s yellow lab though and he adores her. Congrats on your new pup! 🙂
