- Wedding: April 2013
I want to scream and shout and jump up and down and talk about the house incessantly, but that’s annoying for everyone around me, so I’m going to do it here!
I *love* homes. I like decorating them, I like cleaning them, I like making them just perfect and having that calm feeling when I come home. I bought my own home nearly 4 years ago, and just shy of a year ago, I moved away from it to be closer to Fiance. We weren’t engaged yet, so I’ve been living with my grandma 10 minutes down the road from him. In a semi-finished separate basement in the country. No high speed internet is available, I’ve had to rent an office for work in this po-dunk little office where the other goings on in the office annoy me.
My basement surroundings have, obviously, not been a thing I love to come home to. SO I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED TO MOVE! My other place will be going on the market to sell soon too.
And! And and! The landlord just let me know we can get in a week early (day after Thanksgiving) for only $150 extra. Fiance was like “Meh, it doesn’t seem worth it since you’ll be gone the 27 – 30th.” HELLO! That is exactly why it is worth it! He is not the one living in the basement where there is, most certainly, a mouse living in the ceiling tiles. He said he wouldn’t argue with me on it, so I am DOING it. And my dad will be in town from very far away, and he loves houses too so he will get to see it.
SO EXCITED. I love this feeling of moving into a new place and having so many possibilities. AND, we have a lease through April 2014, so I will freaking KNOW where I am going to live for more than a few months at a time.
Happy wife, happy life, right? Correct. And houses make me happy.
*sigh* One more week. I know you all get it.
