- Wedding: June 2013
My husband and I married a little over a year ago (September 2011) and we are finally planning our wedding receptions (one in NY, another in Turkey)…
We’re doing things slightly out of order. 🙂
We are nowhere near ready to register, but my mom is always on the lookout for things we might like. She used to have a beautiful set of China, the Sango Fresco pattern, that my father brought back for her from Korea (during the Vietnam war) back in the 1960s/early 1970s. (I’m not sure on the exact date).
Well, pieces of the set have been broken/lost (we used some of them in my brother’s wedding as mismatched china) over the years, so my mother sought out a complete set via Craigslist. She’s been scouring it for weeks/months.
She located a complete service for 8, from the same timeline, and we picked it up. Combined with the leftovers of my mom’s set, we’re ready to serve a good 16 people. We are sooooo happy!
**Edit: Is it possible to move this to “nesting”?
Here’s the cute, sweet, elegant pattern:
