Oh my. This is something I won’t be participating in. I hadn’t heard of this.

I’m glad you enjoyed yourself though.

Do you plan on having the dress recleaned and sealed up again?

I loved getting to try my mom’s wedding dress on before I got married (I didn’t wear her dress, but it fit – apparently we were the exact same size). I hope a daughter, or granddaughter, will get to try mine on one day too.

Wow I feel like you’re getting some attitude on here.

I think this is fun and I applaud you! I won’t be doing it, out of my own choice BUT… I think it’s fun and you most certainly get to choose what to do with your dress!

Many women preserve their dress and it sits in their closet that way forever. Nothing wrong with either path! You had fun with it and have great memories to share in the future, good for you!!

Your dress, your decision. Love it!

Jw1724:   right? I’ve seen a lot of rude comments lately. While TTD is not my thing, why do we care what someone else does with their dress? To reach their own. Why do people need to waste their time replying to people if it’s just going to be rude? Read and move on!

This was so cute!! I especially like your husband with his muddy hands on your girls! That made me chuckle. I love how you involved the whole family and the pictures turned out great! I especially love the panoramic shot of you guys wading thru the river. Adorable!! I would totally do this too if I felt like my dress was already ruined.

Awe, I love how the whole family was involved. Just adorable pictures. I love the idea of saving some of the lace, that’s such a great idea, especially since the dress was ruined anyway.

Wow, some of the comments are completely ridiculous…

I love trash the dress ideas. While I would never be bold enough to paint or burn it like I’ve seen others do… I do plan on having a “trash the dress” shoot, even though it technically won’t be that. I am buying a completely different dress to jump in the ocean with, but mainly because we are eloping and having a reception when we get home and I’m wearing my dress there.

You family looks like they had a blast and you all have memories that will last forever!
