- Wedding: October 2013
Now that the “selection” is in from our Photographer, I wanted to share them (and a recap) with you all!
I had been planning and DIY-ing this wedding for months and months and my day-of schedule allowed plenty of time for everything – so much that we were standing around waiting for it to be time for the ceremony to start! The Photographer said that he loved that there was so much time for everything and nothing was a rush.
Though it was overcast, the rain stopped for our ceremony and reception, and I think it helped the pictures immensely 🙂 It was a little on the chilly side, but with all the excitement I didn’t feel a thing – and once we started dancing, everybody was glad for the cold!
So here it is – our Yellow, DIY, Natural, Relaxed October Wedding 🙂 I made almost everything myself: The bouquet, the boutonniere, the centerpieces, the signs, the programs (and invites), the favors (Castile soap that I made), the poms…whew! Totally worth it though.
Here’s what our Photographer had to say about the day on his blog (which you can view here: http://blog.grahamterhune.com/brittany-and-alper/ ) – Totally recommend Graham Terhune!
“Brittany and Alper’s wedding was an intimate celebration at the North Carolina Botanical Gardens. The whole day was about the love they share for one another and for their friends and family members, many of whom traveled from far distances to celebrate the stunning couple. We love the way that Brittany and Alper’s wedding day was such a classical and beautiful celebration. The way the two carried themselves the entire day was such a testament to their maturity and authentic love for one another.
The small details throughout the day were thoughtful and meaningful to the relationship between Brittany and Alper. We love the simplicity of the floral arrangements, the home made soap favors, and the microbrews that Brittany’s father made especially for his daughter’s wedding day. The entire day was full of such joy and support for Brittany and Alper, and I couldn’t have been more honored to be a part of it.
Brittany and Alper, thanks so much for making me a part of your gorgeous wedding day. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite moments captured throughout your day.”
