So I am doing our invitations – meticulously…
I bought the pocket folds, and designed the invites on the inside. Everything was done to photoshop, and perfected to the nearest 1/32″.
With the pocket folds there is a main invite, then I have 4 inserts… I had two of the inserts and all the main invites printed. And all of those cut out, precisely with an exacto knife… When I realized that the printer had been randomly ZOOMING my pages! Everything printed at the wrong size!!!!
Oh my gosh.. I just broke down in hysterics… The main invites are salvagable. They are bigger than I wanted them, but I can work with them.. however the 200+ pocket inserts that were printed and cut… all have to be replaced. Pages and pages of stuff printed, cardstock used, ink used, and over a week of cutting.. down the drain…
I feel sick about it… now I’m going to be rushed to get in all done & I have to go spend another 50 bucks on ink and paper… Ugh…

oooh no! that’s so awful… wow I can’t imagine how bad that’d make me feel.
Did you do a couple mock invites to make sure the printing was correct?

If you’re printing from Photoshop make sure to uncheck “scale to fit media.”

Thanks guys. My mom just took them to a printers, I am so worn, I swear.. then to find out that our hotel is changing names on Thursday.. did they think that someone might want to change the name of the hotel on their invites!!!!! So now I have to change the file and send those to the printers…
I feel like I was run over by a bus! Thanks for your responses bees.

Thank you.. I heard a rumor once that if things are going awfully during planning, you will have a great wedding day… dont’ know if it’s true, but if it is, our wedding will be the best day ever 🙂

Omg, I feel sick for you. I’m so sorry that happened, I really am. I can imagine how upsetting that is. We just finished our invitations this weekend and it was not the greatest experience. I hope it works out perfectly the next time around.

ohhhh I would have just sat down and cried! I know how time consuming the invites stage is since tommoroow I have to finish ours and it has been a bitch also! I’m sending you vibes for peace on the rest of you wedding tasks.

Thanks miss designer.. I was in fact on the kitchen floor crying, and the couch, and the dining room.. ha! I was a big heap of sobbing! I felt bad for my Fiance, cause he felt helpless! He’s sweet.
Hopefully we are moving forward again, but setbacks are just so painful!
