@futuremrshc: Altering a dog before 5-6 months can be a problem for its growth and development. Obviously, many shelters spay/neuter everything that walks in their door, but most dogs shouldn’t be fixed until later.

This is why most rescues and reputable breeders have spay/neuter clauses in their contracts.

Anyway, I’m glad the puppies are in their new homes. 🙂

Ha! thanks for asking. Yeah, we got her fixed as SOON as we could. It even had to get slightly delayed because her placental sites didn’t return to position (or something like that) for quite some time and we were super cautious about making sure she didn’t get knocked up again!

It’s all good now.

I’m actually organizing a puppy reunion party soon. I have all of the owners of the puppies on facebook. It’s sweet.
