We love our engagement photos and really wanted to show them off in our STD’s so we decided to do a horizontal card with a centerfold picture. I think I’m going to ask to have the font changed on the fench (front cover). Any other things you notice/should add/take away?
Front cover (with fence) and back cover (with shaded out ring photo)
The centerfold (the lines just show where the card will fold)

We’re date twins!
And I think they look good, although I don’t really care for any of the fonts….cute pictures though 🙂

Marlisle016: I dont like any of the fonts. The one on the fence needs to be nudged a little bit so the bottom of the letters follow the bottom of th fence. The rails are on a slight diagonal, but the lettering looks straight. Needs to look like someone wrote on the fence.

since you already have the date on the other photo, i would simply remove the font from the fence. and i’d pick a pure white font on the ‘centrefold’ rather than a bordered, script one. it’s very busy against the background of the trees. cute photos!

peonyinlove: +1 I agree with all of that.
I think the pictures are cute, but don’t care for any of the fonts.

The pictures are pretty! I just think that the ring picture in the first one didn’t match well with the fence picture. Maybe do something different there?

Marlisle016: As a Graphic Designer, the fonts don’t match at all. The front is very teacher’s bulletin board and the inside is way too scirpty and hard to read especially with the busy trees/leaved backgound.
A few suggestions… The ring picture for the back rather than fading it out becasue it’s they back why not just make it smaller, like a logo so you can still see the ring it’s just not so big. Then on the inside I would say have all of the text put to the right of you guys and not on the top. It feels disconnected to just randomly have the location on the bottom. I thought at first you were trying to have it so someone could frame the inside photo if they liked so there’s no words or text.
The pictures are beautiful!! Hopefull you’ll be able to come to a design that compliments them more than distracts.

ClaudiaKishi: Reading through all the comments a second time and JUST saw that you mentioned we’re date twins!! YAY!! 😀
Agreed! Hated the fonts!
KoiKove: So true about nudging! What do you think now?
peonyinlove: Agreed! Didn’t like the fonts in trees!
winterwoodlandbride15: Thank you 🙂
MrsAB: How about now?
Lalavla: Thank. you. so. much!!! Your comments were SOOO helpful! You completely understood what I was envisioning on the back of the card! What are your thoughts now? I think I’m going to ask to have ‘Save the Date’ written on the middle three rungs of the fence, so it’s centered.

Marlisle016: a millions times better!! The fonts all match, are cohesive and are much easier to read!! I also agree 100% on having the deisgner move the Save the date on the fence down so it’s on the center three rungs.
