I want to share mine! It’s all to do with music. We will be having various “nerd” instrumental music playing while guests are being seated. (Lord of the Rings, various video games, star wars) and our Recessional song is from a video game. Our first dance song is “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica.

@thewheelsonthebus:  Those sound fantastic!! Fiance and I are also “Whovians”, so our little special thing we have is the container for our prediction cards. For those that don’t know what those are, these are little cards that our guests can fill out with what they think our next five years will hold. We are building a TARDIS for them to place them in. It will be about 1 1/2 feet tall, full detail. For our guests that know what it is they will get a kick out of it and I can’t wait to find out what the ones who have no idea what it is say about it!!!

@Mrs.McMac: I absolutely love that idea!!!! LOL!!!

…on a side note, this is my very first post so I hope I did this right…

Our theme will be the movie American Beauty, there will be roses and rose petals everywhere and when people arrive to the reception the soundtrack will be playing in the background.

Im still thinking in more ideas. 😛

Husband was surprised when his dance with his mom was not Susido by Rod Stewart (when I heard she picked that I thought wtf) but instead, the Star Wars theme song.  He laughed so hard and it was a really nice moment for the both of them! Everyone else found it funny too 🙂

I’m having a few, I’ve been pretty hush hush about my planning in general. I’m giving a speech, we’re going to give everyone a drink ticket (we wanted to do something but couldn’t afford a full open bar), and I am doing a program modeled after one I found on Offbeatbride called “So You’re Going to Sit Through a Wedding” Lastly I’m surprising my mom and Future Mother-In-Law with corsages on the day of

Such cute ideas!!  Our cute ‘thing’ (if you will) is that I’m making sure the theme song to the show, Rescue Me, is played..likely when we’re walking back down the aisle together (it’s casual and outdoors so we have more play room with that kind of thing). After our first date, a friend of mine told me to give him a copy of my favorite movie and if he watched it before I saw him again it meant he was taking me seriously, LOL. Meanwhile, on date #1 I had casually mentioned how I love that show (and barely remembered even bringing it up).  Before date #2 he had looked it up on Netflix and started watching it, on his own.  That was when I ‘knew’ he was a keeper Smile

I’m walking down the aisle to VSQ’s version of Sweet Child O Mine.  Fiance and I met in 1988 so it’s perfect.

I wonder how many people will figure it out. .

My Fiance and his brothers used to play the computer game Ultima Online, and are big WoW/Diablo  lovers…big time computer game lovers. So my Fiance decided that he wants him and his brothers (his groomsmen) to walk into the Ultima Online song “Britain”. When he told his brothers this bit of info they were really excited and they aren’t the type of guys to get excited about stuff haha I don’t think a lot of people will know what the music is from but it means a lot to my Fiance and his brothers so it should be good! 🙂

Doctor Who has always been my thing, but now FH has gotten into too. We also both love Harry Potter, but his really religious mom is not a fan, so we’re doing some Doctor Who things.

Not sure what yet, but I’m brainstorming.
