The most perfect imperfect day!
The day started off with Chinese wedding games and a tea ceremony at his parents’ home as DH is Chinese. I am not too familiar with the tradition so I basically just did as I was told. π

One of the many challenges DH and his groomsmen had to do was sing “In the Still of the Night’ acapella. (You can watch a video of that here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Azz9pofj_x0) DH is not too gifted in the singing department but I love him anyhow! π

Waiting for DH to make his way through the challenges and get to me.

My big fat Hmong family. DH gained 4 brothers and 9 sisters.
And I gained 1 brother and 1 sister! π

DH is a huge gamer so it was only natural for us to incorporate Final Fantasy into our wedding. All of our ceremony music was from Final Fantasy (the pretty symphonic kind, not the battle songs) and each of our table number card, designed by my brother, were labeled after the main character of each series. There are 14 series of FF and we had exactly 14 tables!

My cake and dessert table including these adorable cupcakes were all made by a friend of mine.

@miss_leafheart: So beautiful!!! Everyone looked like they had a blast and you look so happy!
We’re also doing a tea ceremony!…well, we’ll have to do two actually. The Chinese games are so funny! I wish we have those games too, but my Fiance is Vietnamese, and I don’t think they do the games. I want to though!
I’m not Viet, and I’ve only been to one wedding tea ceremony, so I’m pretty much going to be clueless. Lol I’ll just do what you did and do what they tell me to do. π

@miss_leafheart: I LOVED all your pics – you looked absolutely fabulous and everyone looks like they enjoyed your day. We are not having flower girls/ring bearer’s but I just have to say, if we would be – I was going to do the exact same thing you did…they look adorable. Another favorite – I love on the first look, all the groomsmen are taking pics with their cell phones. LOVE that. Such a supportive group of people!
