jellybellynelly :  I havent had chicken in a few years and I know well and good what chicken tastes like. Which really is a whole lotta nothingness.

Anyway most of the time chicken just taste like whatever you cook it in. It’s one of the proposed theories of where the saying “tastes like chicken” came from. It’s so bland in its own that literally anything, if seasoned or dressed similarly, tastes “like chicken”.

sunnierdaysahead2 :  Oh man. Thanks for the heads up. I rarely eat dessert out anyway but good to know. Yes I agree a little warning is nice. They don’t have to have all ingredients listed on each item for allll to read not sure why everyone is stuck on that. But the catering company should absolutely have a list of them somewhere.

And OP you may want to peruse the ingredients as a vegan. I have a friend that’s deathly allergic to all dairy and she has to remind them that butter is dairy.  And butter is definitely not vegan. Just a thought. My vegetarian friend has to remind people that chicken isnt vegetarian (yes really) because they think of red meat only. It’s amazing what people will think is and isn’t safe and is or isn’t an animal product.

Like ohhh peanut butter has peanuts??? So asking the caterer to have a binder of info for those who ask is great and lots of restaurants have them now.

How can FOOD be so controversial, omg 😂 some people die of starvation. Who cares if the vegan chicken doesn’t taste like animal chicken and gives you a bit of a shock. First world problems

That sounds delicious, I’d love to try all those items as a non-vegan
