I had my wedding band custom made because my setting bulges out at the bottom and regular bands don’t fit. Although I had it custom made it still can’t sit perfectly flush because of how the gallery on the ring is criss-crossed. Anyway, I actually like the small even gap between the e-ring and wedding band because it makes it obvious that they’re different. The whole reason I wanted a thicker, micropave band was to make them look separate from each other. Otherwise, I would’ve had to get a thin band that curves around the bulge of the setting.
FI’s ring also came in, and even though his band doesn’t match my wedding band I think it goes with my e-ring quite well! His has a 0.30 ct F VS2 diamond (I told him I was slightly jealous his diamond’s specs are a little better than mine. Mine’s a G VS2)
We “test-wore” them yesterday and I loveee my set. FI’s also super happy with his ring. I can’t wait to get married…and wear the set every day!! Our jeweler suggested we get a 14K white gold wedding band to go with my platinum e-ring since platinum was so much more expensive…but it was worth every penny to get the platinum. That way I know the diamonds are secure, and the metals won’t damage each other.
Sorry for the crappy phone pics and thanks for letting me share!
