I got contacted by a representative of an Australian and New Zealand history magazine who were doing a feature on heirlooms used in Weddings.
The cake topper on our wedding cake was a family vase that has been used for 132 years on wedding cakes on my mum’s side of the family. My great great grandmother bought it over from England and it has been on all the cakes in the family ever since, including my grandparents and their 9 children and now all the grandchildren!
