@Fallicious1012: Those are awesome!!! good choice!
@TinaJade: We had our ceremony in the village I grew up in. It is called Kounavi and it is about 20 minutes away from central Heraklion and about 10 minutes from Knossos. I love Rethymno. There are some real gems on the island! Tons of beautful hidden beaches and it is quite lovely! Our ceremony was very traditional, we didn’t have any English in the service cause the pappa that married us doesn’t speak any English but we had a hand out that explained the service and what all the symbolism means (the stefana, the blessing of the rings, the drinking from the goblets etc). What part of Greece is your family from? Let me know next time you are in Greece! If I am there, I will find a Greek wedding for you to attend! It seems as there is somone getting married eveery weekend int he village I grew up in! haha. Every time we go there we get invited to one even if we don’t know who the bride and groom are! Your Fiance is funny!! He will be fine and he will love it! My Darling Husband used to be so shy to get up and dance but now he loves it and he has learned some of the traditional Cretan dances and he even danced a zebeikiko at our wedding (although he had to be dragged up there by my cousin….literally my cousin grabbed him under the arms and carried him up there hahah)..what part of Greece are your ancestors from?
