What a relief!!
Thank goodness! Hugs to you! I can’t imagine the roller coaster you’ve been on for the last 24 hours!
YAY!!! So glad for the happy outcome!!!
Glad your photographers bag was found, with all your pictures.
I certainly do know what you are going through as my first wedding the photographers camera broke during pre-wedding photo’s. We only had other peoples cameras then, and this was back in 1987. Not only that, my camera broke on our honeymoon, so we only had 4 pictures from there.
For this time around, my laptop will be set up at the reception with a memory card reader, asking people to upload thier pics before they leave the reception. Not taking chances.
I hope you have apologized to the friend/photographer for calling him “every name in the book”, as I am sure that didn’t help the stress of the matter either. As a matter of fact I would think that would make it worse.
YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAY thank god!!!!!!
Oh, I’m glad this had a happy ending!
oh yay, happy ending!
and here i was gonna look for all the legal info you would need to sue the pants off your photog.
This is my nightmare, letting you all know now. I am so glad they turned up!
However I would seriously be demanding a discount from the photographer. Errors happen….but leaving your CAMERA in the LIMO? That is just stupid and irresponsible. If it was a dropped memory card or something, yeah, I get it, but the whole freaking bag?! What else did the guy have to manage but the camera?! Sorry, getting a little righteously indignant.
Also, did the photog not consider maybe driving to the limo place and looking for the bag in person before freaking you out and then hiding like a child?
I am with the PP who said “if this is the worst thing that happens to you as husband and wife you are lucky”…
We have moved 5 times in the last 2 years… due to financial reasons, now we are getting back on track… (this is “for poorer” right now) I was SURE I threw away our original wedding photos (we are now planning our vow renwal) I told all my friends they were lost and I accidentally put them in a box that was set to be thrown a way, the good news is, they were found… So I totally know what you are feeling like, but I also know how jerky the photographer must be feeling like too.
Your stress level is high. Enjoy your honeymoon knowing they are safe. I am glad you have your photos. Just wait till you get back to make any decisions to sue, or whatever you are going to do.
Calling him every name in the book is nothing compared to the names he has called himself. Or how he feels about himself about this incident, as he knows his reputation is on the line and word of mouth is EVERYTHING In this business…
I guess I have nothing to Add unless (thinking) you threw away your OWN WEDDING PHOTOS FROM 18 YEARS AGO, if he thinks ANYTHING like I did, no matter what you do is nothing compared to what he is doing to himself.
YAY! SO GLAD THEY WERE FOUND!
I’m so glad this ended well!
