An update on the boutonniere’s, I didn’t miss two, I went back and counted them, and I am all good 🙂 Wahoo! No more having to go to the store, which is awesome because whenever I go into Joanne’s, I find things to buy, which is a bad thing because sometimes those things will replace other things I have already and so I don’t really need.
I have 86 flowers left of the flowers I purchased already, YAY! We will have 13 tables at our reception, so I will use 13 flowers, one for each table. I will have 5 flowers on one tier of the cake and 4 flowers on another tier, the third tier will have our cake topper, which is only half way purchased. Must find smaller bride and groom to go with the other half of our cake topper, or the bride and groom will be placed either on another tier or on the table. We will need 26 floating candles for each centerpiece, so I do have to find those somewhere. Of the rest of the flowers, I will be taking some of them and removing the petals (hello scissors), for the flower girl baskets (I must get another flower girl basket since we have two flower girls and they will not be walking together; 10 year old and 2 1/2 year old). With the remainder of the flowers, I will be using for the cake table decoration, the gift table decoration, and the guest book table, so I won’t have to buy and more flowers, GO ME!
I wrote up the day of timeline rough draft, but I have to call our coordinator to get her copy because I think I mixed up the cake cutting, first dance, and bouquet/garter toss times. Which is no big deal, but I want to make sure it is all good. We have added and subtracted from both our registries, good thing we have this done early so we can do that, and make sure we have the right stuff.
We have our officiant, got him ordained and everything on The First Day of July 🙂 it’s so exciting! We have our wedding food chosen for our ceremony guests, and the desert buffet food chosen for our reception guests. We have our alcohol chosen, except our champagne….help on that would be good if you can, I don’t know what kind of inexpensive champagne to get because I only know I like the pink stuff at $4 a bottle HAHA!
I got my trial hair done on the 30th, as well as I picked up my dress 🙂 OMG It is beautiful! My girls love it and say I look gorgeous, and my friend took some pretend bridals when I showed them all the dress. It’s nice to see myself in it with my hair all done and stuff, it makes everything so wonderful and keeps that image in my head. I do need to get the bustle fixed on it, but that will be an easy fix. I may do it myself, or my mom or her friend will do it for me, so I am not worried. I do have to say though, I do not recommend Bridal Image for dress shopping or alterations, not the best experience I have ever had, but I am over it and moving on.
I took my ring in to get cleaned and redipped, and somehow while they were fixing a little chip type thing on the side, they dented it! Now, they want to send it out to the laser people for TWO WEEKS! I told them I had to wait until next week since in SIX DAYS I will be getting my professional bridals done! YAY!
This week will be wedding wedding wedding. I began today with reorganizing my office/craft room/wedding central. Which isn’t all done, but I will finish that tomorrow, kind of a big job, especially since mostly I have to organize the wedding stuff into different categories.
Thursday is girls night and my lovely wonderful amazing friends and bridesmaids will be joining me at my house to help me address the invitations. I say help, because I will be there, but since m handwriting is ultimate crap, I won’t be addressing any of them and my WONDERFUL girls are so ok with this and I am the luckiest woman in the world to have them. I couldn’t ask for a better bridal party.
Friday, I think I will take that night off lol, get to bed early because I have to get my hair done before I get my bridals done at eleven in the morning, dang I am tired already, plus I have to put on make-up for the day. (Which I just bought new mascara, and eyeshadow). On Sunday, we will be heading down to his mom’s house with one lovely Bridesmaid to take our engagement photos, which Fiance will photoshop and we will choose which ones we like best and get them printed for our invitations. Maybe and hopefully, this week or next we will get those invitations and RSVP cards printed so we can begin to stuff them into the already addressed envelopes and lick em and stick em to be mailed out the first week in August. And we only need 5 more addresses 🙂 ALMOST DONE!
Yesterday, we went to FI’s parents house for his mom’s birthday, and I showed her the pictures of me in my dress since she hadn’t seen the dress yet. And we wandered their yard to pick out possible engagement photo spots. And WONDERFUL man of mine made the most amazing dinner I have ever had, I will have to post that recipe on my other site.
And sister soldier bought her bridesmaids dress and slip, so also this week I will be adding the color to the bottom to create the beautiful vision of wonderful I have in my head about my girls in wonderful dresses THAT THEY WILL BE ABLE TO USE AGAIN, unlike so many lol
I also wanted to mention that I am the luckiest daughter-in-law to be to the most wonderful in-laws to be in the world. His family has always been so happy to have me there with them and so wonderful through this wedding planning process. His mom is so much like a mother to me because she is so much like my mother; she loves me and welcomes me with open arms every time I see her, just like my mom. And both my mom and his are so happy for us and are so willing to do anything they can do to help, without planning it themselves like I have heard so many mothers and mother in laws do, and I just wanted to thank them both for being so wonderful!!
And to my sisters, I am so lucky to have all three of you in my life, in my line, and in my hearts. You all are so wonderful and I cannot be any happier with the family I have been given. I Love you all and I thank you all for being there for me when I need you and for being so supportive.
I am the luckiest woman in the world, and my heart is so full of joy and happiness and love for the family and friends I have, and the family I will be a part of.
89 days to go 🙂
