I’ve had my heart sset on a breakfast at tiffany’s wedding since forever (it’s my favorite movie). Fiance doesn’t much care for that aspect of the planning, so he’s giving me full reign.

tiffany blue, white, lots of silver and sparkle. also his last name is pearl, so pearls willl be a big part of everything.

granted, it’s not going to be TIFFANY and audrey hepburn’s face will be no where to be found. I just want to capture that tiffany magic.

Ours will be a tuscan, under the stars cocktail affair. Very romantic outdoor event filled with uplighting, candles, fireplace, etc.

Ours will be somewhat vintage. Our reception is in a 100 year old school of arts building so I wanted to incorporate that. All your themes sound great 🙂 I can’t wait to see them when the time comes.

At the moment (very early stages!) we are looking at a nature/eco friendly type theme. Recycled or found materials, countryside setting in a barn or something similar. I’m so excited to book it so that I can plan more! I’m thinking succlents in little pots for favours/place settings and we have mocked up our save the dates on recycled card!

I guess my theme is preppy. Our colors are navy blue, blush, and gold. I like very classic clean lines without a lot of fuss. Our table runners are striped navy and white. Our “flowers” are light pink roses. I’m DIYing a lot of the wedding so hopefully it turns out well!

We are doing a 1920s speak easy theme like in the middle of the prohibition. I am really excited I love the 20s gaspy vibe there will be lots of gold and antique touches. Toying with the idea of a blackjack dealer during cocktail hour ( just for fun not for money lol)

We will be doing a Chinese theme. Lots of red and gold. Still in the early stages of everything so nothing set in stone yet

I’m thinking of doing the emerald city from the Wiz. I’m hoping some green and yellow uplighting. Emerald linens and maybe some “poison poppy” red accents.

  • Wedding: Backyard

We’re doing a simple rustic/cookout in the park sort of theme. We are having it in a large backyard on a lake with a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains. Our signature idea is to have smores rather than a cake. Each table will have a unique picnic basket that will have the smores ingredients inside.

Ambi D:  I absolutely LOVE that green color! It is stunning. So much so you almost made me change my mind!!! It’s gonna be sooo beautiful.

I am actually going with what I call “Chanel” theme… Just because the colors remind me of Chanel a lot. It’s a small wedding, so everyone will be in black and white, and I’ll be in Blush pink. Something like this…

yarrowwind:  Um…. are you me?! We had a literary geeky theme too! Mostly literary but I made boutonniers with d20s on them for the guys. And while husband would have loved the Emperial March it didn’t mean anything for me, so I walked up to the instrumental theme from Princess Bride and we walked out to the theme from Totoro. 😀 Also… these are the guys’ ties, customized to their individual geekdoms:
