I plan to incorporate orchids wherever I can. Nothing over the top, but specifically the purple/white orchids will contrast my other wedding colours (navy/white/gold).

Also, not really a theme, but my FI’s and my initials will both be BE once we’re married so I’m considering little mint tins that say “Mint to BE” on them. Just an idea at this point haha.

I totally agree with the people that say their theme is “wedding”!

We are having a destination wedding in Maui, so its been really important to me to include some really personal touches about who we are as a couple. If we had had our wedding here at home in Central Oregon it would have been a camping theme held at our favorite lake. But, we decided on Maui instead…so, instead of an entire theme witha lot of well thought out diy decor, ive decided on just a few key items that reeally speak to our outdoor enthusiasm. We will be using our vintage wooden canoe paddles that belonged to my grandfather as a guestbook. We will have people sign them or write us a message on them. I found a really cute tiny wooden canoe on Etsy im going to order for a caketopper…it will have our initials and date burned into the oars. We also are going to put a tiny duck and a tiny beaver inside it since we are a house divided when it comes to college football teams. I found some cute wooden signs that say “you are my greatest adventure” that im going to use somewhere…and im thinking of incorporating photos of us camping, fishing, hiking, etc.. in each table centerpiece… oh…and i have to find a way to nring in some disney too….since i am a total disney nut.

Our wedding bands are of silver waves with sapphires for water wrapped all the way around the rings. That is why we chose an ocean/beach theme. Who cares if it will be the start of fall in the midwest?!!? Right?! πŸ˜€ Our main colors are two shades of blue, a cool purple, and silver as an accent. We’ve got a treasure chest, mermaids, dolphins, waterfall fountain, ocean print items, sand, seashells, etc. It will elegant, yet laid back. We’re having burritos, sushi tacos, and cheesecake! It’s going to be an offbeat blast! πŸ™‚

Our wedding has a huge Pacific Northwest influence (we both live near Seattle to give an idea). Our decorations are basically white pillar candles, TONS lush foliage garlands, gold accents, and a variety of white flowers! We are renting rich wood farm tables and we are including some wood accents in our table settings. I absolutely have to sneak in some little hints of Disney as well! We will be leaving for Disneyland the week after 😍

I love so many of these!!!

My fiance cares about the food being amazing, music and our puppy being party of ceremony so I get to design the rest of the wedding (yay) which is my perfect plan as he is clueless about what a colour pallet even is.

Our theme is going to be very romantic as best I can describe it.

We are getting married outside in a rose garden with an indoor reception in a ballroom (with an outdoor terrace for cocktail ) the ballroom looks like something out of beauty and the beast, lots of mirrors and dark wood.

So colours will be champagne, ivory, blush and some gold and thinking lots of candles, bridesmaids are wear long satin dresses etc.. πŸ™‚

Doing a vintage/french country blue & white toile wedding. We will have mixed blue & white china, toile table runners, toile cake, dessert bar, it’s going to be in an antebellum home & we will have a brunch in the garden with strings playing in the background.

alycat83 :  Sounds great! I think a trip to Hawaii is my wedding surprise gift from my fiance! (hoping anyway;) He wanted to wear a Hawaiian shirt, but I talked him into a charcoal tux with an ombre blue tie. I have a gray/blue dress. I’m glad I’m not the only one doing a tropical theme in a landlocked state! We will be at a state park by the Platte River, close enough?! πŸ™‚

Watered down beauty and the beast. lol

The only actual character piece we have is the cake topper. Otherwise, we are decorating with vintage clocks, candelabras, tea sets, and old books. Our colors are wine red and dusty pink. We will be using a lot of roses. I’m just so excited!!!!

Love this thread!!  We just paid the deposit so I can officially say where we are getting married! It will be in a “Mill” inside is adorned with stone and lots of cast iron gates. Our theme is mostly vintage romantic circa 1900’s with slight star wars and zelda touches throughout!
