That sounds very similar to what I’ve got planned – the ceremony, then the reception straight after in the same location. With regards to the weather, you’ve just got to plan for the worst and hope for the best, unfortunately, but if you’ve already looked into marquees, then I think you’ll be fine in that regard.

As for timing my fiance and I are thinking of doing a few photos together before the actual ceremony, so we don’t have to leave for two hours while everyone else is at the reception. We’ll probably sneak off for a bit to get a few more photos, depending on how many we got prior to the ceremony and to take the photos with our families, etc.

What times are you actually planning to have everything, and what time do you want the reception to finish? If you’re planning on having a reception until late in the evening, then you can probably get away with taking photos during the cocktail hour. Unfortunately, fiance and I want our reception all finished by about 5pm, so we’re doing photos first, so we can relax and spend the reception with everyone properly.

I plan on doing photos with my family and BMs 2 hrs before the ceremony and when Fiance arrives at the venue, him and his family and Groomsmen will take their pics and hr before. After the ceremony, we will take pics together and with our family altogether. I’m thinking that shouldn’t take over an hr. In the meantime, we are having lawn games and table games and appetizers and drinks for cocktail hr so that will keep out guests pretty busy and help pass the time for them.
