somedaymrsj :  I wear a very thing 14k gold band on my left thumb. Sometimes i can go days without wearing any other rings, but never ever do i go without my thumb ring. Riht hand fingers tend to be bigger because if you are right handed, it builds more muscle due to the constant use of that hand more.

I don’t but the only ring that I ever wore on my left hand was my promise ring then my engagement ring and now my wedding set

somedaymrsj :  I don’t for the exact same reason you gave, I don’t want anything competing with my wedding set. I would look into getting your other rings resized

I only wear my wedding set.  I never really wore rings before I got married even though I had been gifted rings thoughout the years.   I do wear a necklace and earrings every day.

meliamartinez31 :  Thats a pretty cool sentiment behind your thumb ring. Congrats on the weight loss. My original set is from Zales and i dont get why my fingers were so damn skinny then. They are like a 4 0r 4.5 and i had just given birth, well i havent been able to wear them is years now. I dont want them re sized because it will tamper with their originality. My thumb  ring belonged to a pissed off lady i met at a park one day. Her and her husband or ex where on a heated argument in public and she removed her ring and threw it at him. My daughter who was only 4 then picked it up. I approched the lady later and tried to give it back, i thought it was just in the heat of the moment and she would regret it. She refused it and told me i could have it. I ended up leaving her my number just in case she came to her senses and wanted the ring back. My daughter is now 17 and i still have the ring, lol. i always wore thumb rings and i had a cheap wire like when i landed this one i wear now. I have one from Pandora that was gifted to me like 4 yeas ago for a b day. I wear that on my right thumb sometimes. Its got a lot of detail, so i find it unconfortable for daily wear. But yeah, thats my thumb ring story, lol.

allthingsshiny01 :  LOL at “that’s my thumb ring story.”

I suddenly feel the urge to create my own.

I wear a tiny stacking ring on my left index finger; I never take it off so I anticipate wearing it even on my wedding day!

I wear only a wedding set on my left hand. On my right I wear a ring on the ring finger. I have a few wedding sets, so I switch them out. I was really into rings for a while, now I’m into Alhambra – necklace, earrings and bracelets. The simple, non-flashy design is great. I love jewelry, but I want it to adorn, not announce.
