No just state that you are out of the office and will be back x date. People who dont know you 1 wont care you are getting married if they really wanna get a hold of you. 2. if this is for people in the office and they werent invited it is rubbing it in there face.

Nope. I’d just say that your out of the office until whatever time and give the info for who they can contact for immediate concerns.

I wouldn’t. I would just do a generic out of office message.

I would only add something if you are changing your name, and you want people to update their contact info.

I might put something like, I will be out of the office until X date and will return as Mrs. __________, please update your records.

Just use the same out of office message you’d use for any other time.


Once you change your name you will probably want to refer to yourself as “Aardvark Newname (Maiden)” for a while in your correspondence.

Agree with PPs.  For business purposes, all anybody needs to know is how long you’ll be gone and who they can contact if they need immediate assistance.

Don’t say anything – keep it professional.  Also, most businesses won’t change your name until all of your paperwork is in order and even then it can take a couple of weeks, so I would wait to announce your name change until everything is set.
