We are trying to pick the date for our wedding. It will be either in October or November 2019. Most of our guests will be flying in from out of state, and I was wondering if there is a day that is best to accomodate out of state guests? I am worried about flight prices, and was wondering if there is a best day to have a wedding to accomodate out of state guests flying in?

Generally Saturdays are the easiest for most people. Avoid travel holidays, like Thanksgiving, obviously.
In my experience flight prices don’t tend to increase around the other, more minor holidays that people often don’t have work off from (Veteran’s Day, Columbus Day, Halloween, etc).

Saturday is usually the preference for out of state weddings. I only attend out of state Friday/Sunday weddings when I am a bridesmaid.

Saturdays are easiest. I would avoid Thanksgiving weekend as travel costs and chaos increase. I would also check for any events near your venue (sporting events, homecoming, music festivals, etc.) that could increase the demand for and cost of accommodations.

Saturday is standard and what most people would expect.
I’d stay away from booking on a holiday weekend, as it increases travel costs and a lot of people have their own traditions and plans over holidays (which for the most part they will forgo in order to go to the wedding, but if they’re anything like me they will be silently annoyed by it lol).
To be honest though, if I am flying to attend someone’s wedding, chances are I’m going to make at least a long weekend out of it, if not a week-long vacation, so it really wouldn’t make any difference to me if they did a Friday, Sunday or Monday wedding instead.

Saturday. Always, always Saturday.
