Damn post was eaten!!

I put items in that were symobolic of the city/state my wedding was in. We got marred in Austin, TX so we had:

beef jerky, pecan pralines, fritos, bottled water, & gum. Then I attached a little note that described how each item was related to Texas.

We’re putting a thank you letter, brochure for things to do in the area, 2 bottles of water, granola bars, 2 bags of chips (locally made), some kind of candy (also locally made), 2-4 mini bottles of liquor and some travel size aspirin. We may add a few things as the wedding approaches but this is what’s on the list so far.

I’m doing a  lot things that have already been mentioned but we are also doing a different recipe from each family. My family is from the south and FI’s is from New England so the regional cuisines are very different.

I was thinking of doing the following, with ideas collected from the Bee:

A local map – the ones we have here also have coupons for local attractions inside so that’s perfect

A bottle of water for each guest in the room

A snack of some sort – granola bars, bag of popcorn if their room has a mircowave, etc.

A list of some of our favourite restaurants, and places to go around town.

A Welcome/thankyou letter

All of our guests live in Canada, otherwise I’d include some tasty treats that you can only get here 🙂
