only 4 out of town guests (2 couples) are attending my wedding, out of 200 ppl. both couples have been to los angeles, before, one of the two couples actually lived here in la for a few years. do i need to make sure the wedding website and the save the dates have info on hotels, and things to do? although they’ve been to cali many times, they are not familiar with the actual city where the wedding will be at.

could you put a little card with useful info into just these invitations?

Maybe you could just email them directly with some info?

Send them an email with favorite restaurants near the hotel, ideas for things to do, etc. You might also want to consider doing out of town bags (it should be easy since there will only be two bags) and include maps, local magazines, estimates on how long it will take to drive places, etc.

i’m in a similar situation, and i’m just not going to bother with it. our oot guests will be staying with family, so they will take them around, plus it’s not like they’ve never been here. while i feel like oot bags are fun, it’s one less expense and one less thing to worry about.

I like the email idea. It’s something that shows you care and want them to have an enjoyable time without a lot of work and no cost!

I like the e-mail idea, too. But to make it more fun, maybe you can make a cute brochure/newsletter out of it, with pictures and maps — rather than a text-only e-mail.
