I’m doing one bag per family (I have lots of family coming), and we’re putting in a few bottles of water (depending on how many ppl), a local map with a list of things that we like to do in the city, a CharlieCard (subway pass that they can load with $$–it costs less with the card than to buy a single ride), and local snacks/candies.  Something fun that represents where your wedding is!  🙂

We’re going to put some locally made candy, map/visitors guide from the chamber of commerce (free), some gum/snacks bought in bulk from Costco, water bottles, and a welcome letter/itinerary of the week.

We’re just including some bottled water, snacks (including a couple of pieces of fresh fruit), and a letter with a list of local sights and services (cabs, pharmacies, etc.).

I was just at a wedding this past weekend and the snacks SAVED me! They included crackers and Laughing Cow cheese. I ate crackers in my hotel bed every night.

We did travel versions of sunblock, aloe vera, antibacterial hand sanitizer, 2 bottles of water, 2 Shout wipes, and a welcome letter!

We’re getting married in Florida, so we tried to include things they would get a lot of use out of!

@whfields – where did you find your travel size sunblock? Was it a name brand?  I’m looking for it for our Out of Town bags & have had little luck finding it locally – and the stuff I’ve found online I’ve never heard of!

These are all great ideas!  I have been asking friends what they like to see in Out of Town bags and the response has been overwhelmingly in favor of something to cure a hangover (I guess that says something about our friends!) so we are including (in addition to some stuff already mentioned) Emergen-C and/or Advil…
