I’m needing a bit of help on our Aisle since we aren’t having the typical Ceremony. Everyone is invited for everything so that means there might be close to 200 people and it will be infront of my parent’s house in the front yard…enough room but I am NOT renting 200 more chair. Instead, we will have 25-30 or so, for close family, and people that have to sit (we will put a “reserved” sign on them) and the rest can stand since the Ceremony will only be 15 minutes or so.
The problem is, I want a define aisle that the flower girl and I can walk down. My cousin did the “standing guests” thing at her wedding thinking people will just leave a section where they can go. Nope, instead she had to come in from the side and I don’t want that to happen.
So my question is, what can I use to make an aisle continue past the chairs? I’m open to hear anything! 🙂
Thanks! Cheers!

How about an Aisle runner? or maybe some rose petals or something to really define the aisle? Or maybe shepherd’s hooks with flowers hanging on them?

The simplest thing would be to sprinkle rose petals on either side of where you want the aisle to be – that should hopefully be enough to alert guests that there is in fact an aisle and they should stand to either side. You could also line the aisle with shepherd’s hooks (Dollar Tree has them right now) and hang lanterns, pomanders, vases of flowers – anything you want.

As you have told us that your parents live on a big property you could also lay down some tree trunks to line the aisle.

or use bucked up lengths of a tree trunk- birch is pretty

We’re doing something similar to this with ferns and occasional flowers arrangements. Maybe you could do ferns and an aisle runner? or ferns/any plant in pretty flower pots?

The wood could also be used later for your bonfire. (I think I recall you talking about having one).
