I was going to order one of those "white floral lace" wedding aisle runners for our outdoor wedding. It’s only $17 with free shipping. I’m worried it’ll be flimsy but I’m not real keen on dragging my dress on concrete, either. Plus I really want to paint our monogram onto it. Anybody have any ideas on keeping it tacked down or how it worked to use one of these outdoors? Any better recommendations? Thanks

There are garden stakes that are shaped like a long U that you could descretely use to pin down your aisle runner if it’s on grass. If it’s laid on concrete, I think it will stay, but you could always put double sided tape on the bottom?

we are not going to have an aisle runner but have rose petals down the sides of the chairs leading up to the "altar" and then the flower girls will sprinkle rose petals down the middle.

Ok, so I guess by "concrete" i meant bricks. I guess double sided sticky tape would be ok. I doubt my photographer would capture that that closely anyways. I’d be concerned that rose petals would fly away just as easily, though, and we aren’t having a flower girl. Maybe if it’s just an awfully windy day, we have to forgo it, and we roll it out at their alternative venue (an inside old school wooden church, real small and tiny but great as a back up!) just for some pictures. If i’m going to go through the trouble of painting it, we’re using it!
